Home and Community Care
The Kenora Chiefs Advisory is working with Wabaseemoong First Nations and Grassy Narrows First Nations in the development and implementation of their respective Home and Community Care Programs. KCA also supports Shoal Lake #39, Shoal Lake #40, Ochiichagwe’babigo’ining First Nation and Whitefish Bay First Nation with the integration of the Home and Community Care and the Long Term Care Programs.
It is the long term goal of KCA that these First Nations will be self-sufficient in the delivery of Home and Community Care services. The Home and Community Care program is a First Nation and Inuit Health Branch initiative by Health Canada.
